Thanks Larry. Yeah, went back today with no hitches. It just struck me that I may have a lot more email that has never reached me, some disgruntled people who I have never responded to before I realised it was just those grandiose delusions kicking in again!

Hi Larry. In some ways I can't believe that it's been that long. However, I remember reading your postings in the medical school computer room which definitely makes it feel like three years. Thanks again for the good words. Your enthusiasm for the site near the beginning was a real boost. Now that I'm working in psychiatry, I am much more convinced of the importance in the notion of the right side of the brain. I feel that western medicine is a product of the western world view, based on deterministic and scientific principles and weighted towards left brain characteristics. I am confident that there will be an increasing shift towards a more unified psychic state where our world view will take root in more holistic, intuitive and creative ideals as well as the rational and objective. Medicine will have to accept these shifts in our collective thinking or risk becoming out of touch with the populace. I think it will be a positive shift! (Having said all that, I've never had to crank up my left brain as hard as I did when I started my house jobs!)

Its been three years since I last posted on here and I am glad that the site is still going strong. In the meantime I guess I have balanced my over-dominant right side with a little more respect for my left side. The message of this website is still so important to the wider medical world, where right brain behaviour is not properly rewarded.

Hi Noatrang. Thanks for the nice words. Good luck with your mcat. A blog section would be a cool idea. It may be that folks get a little too much of my rambling already though! Have you got any work to send in to us? I'd also like to apologise to everyone who's sent work in recently. We've been really poor at updating the site and I'm going to set aside a little time to do it very soon. Keep your eyes on this space. To keep our homocysteine levels low we have to ensure that we eat a good amount of vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folate. These can be found in fresh fruit and vegetables and the B12 in diary produce. If you're a vegan, then you most likely need to take B12 suppliments unless you eat lots of seaweed!

Hello! Sorry for long delay in replying to your message. I'm not too sure about the Brighton F2 scheme. All the people I've met doing it seem busy but happy. It might be best to try and contact one of the SHOs at Brighton on the scheme and have a chat. Also a good thing to say in interviews. I work in Chichester now so I can't point them in your direction. Good Luck! Brighton's a great place though. Hey Belle!!! Shame you're not coming to the night of sonic mayhem that is the Venetian Snares night. PS: we all need to try and keep our homocysteine levels low to keep our brains healthy.
