I read an article in the Guardian magazine a few days ago about a guy with Autism who is one of the 10% of austistic people with savant abilities (a particular talent). This guy could perform extraordinary calculations in his head by seeing the numbers in his mind and then simply seeing the answer emerge. This article also described mathematics as a right-brained activity which I found surprising as I felt that it would have been extremely left-brained. Anyone know???

Hey Alexa! How's things? Yeah, we're going good down in bright but cold Brighton. We're gradually getting furniture for our flat so when you come down we should have some stuff. I've been meaning to do a rota of my spare time. Will definitely let you know when we're free. Problem is that my work rota is weighted pretty heavily to nights and evenings but it means I have to make the make the most of my time off! Al and I are gonna do some scouting missions to various bars and clubs ASAP! How's Gracie doing? Gotta contact her. HELLO TO CHICAGO! How's it going, Syed??? Stop it, Greg, with your words of woe! Although it's not so bad as the weather is pretty good down in Brighton at the mo'. (Considering the time of year) We've found a place to live but may have to camp out in it for a while as we haven't got any furniture. Should be fun. You're all welcome to stay...as long as you bring your own chairs! Just got to say, I saw some excellent crazy paintings in the Princess Royal Hospital today in Haywards Heath. Difficult to describe but geometric and bird-shaped patterns cut out and superimposed over pale blue mountainous scenes...a whole series of these pics. Seemed a bit more far-out from the usual hospital decor. Right on! Definitely some kind of Magritte/Escher homage thing happening.

Hey Paul + Ann! That's terrible news about the pod (and the bag). Are you insured? Have you lost much music, Paul? Yeah, back in England. It's actually pretty good to be back but it's just the lack of light that's a little oppressive. Can't believe that was nearly 6 months either. Feeling the pull to go and mooch through my photos all the time but got to try and keep nostalgia at bay. Off down to Brighton tomorrow to try and look for flats. Starting on Wednesday. Should be cool. What about the Herbert DJ set, Paul? Reckon you could make it?
